LOOK BACK là chuyến hành trình về đam mê vẽ truyện tranh của hai cô bé Fujino và Kyomoto. Fujino có năng khiếu hội họa, truyện tranh 4 khung do cô bé vẽ đã được đăng trên tờ báo của trường. Một ngày nọ, thầy giáo bảo Fujino nhường một phần trên tờ báo trường để đăng truyện của cô bé Kyomoto nhút nhát. Sau khi nghe thấy lời cậu bạn chung lớp khen tranh của Kyomoto đẹp hơn mình, Fujino lao vào luyện vẽ, mặc kệ mọi thứ xung quanh...

Tuy câu chuyện chỉ hơn 140 trang nhưng vô cùng súc tích, đậm chất nghệ thuật, và nhận được rất nhiều hưởng ứng từ bạn đọc cũng như các tên tuổi lớn trong làng truyện tranh Nhật Bản và thế giới.

LOOK BACK đã phát hành hàng vạn bản trong ngày đầu tiên ra mắt ở Nhật Bản. Tại Việt Nam, 10.000 bản được phát hành vào cuối năm 2022 và “cháy hàng” chỉ trong 1 tuần.

LOOK BACK đạt được nhiều giải thưởng cũng như xếp hạng cao trong danh sách các tựa truyện hay. Năm 2024, tác phẩm anime ra mắt tại Nhật Bản vào ngày 28 tháng 6 và ra mắt quốc tế tại Liên hoan phim hoạt hình quốc tế Annecy vào ngày 15 tháng 6. Và ngày 20 tháng 9 sẽ khởi chiếu anime LOOK BACK tại Việt Nam.
